Membership and Meeting

Members receive the Caddo Archeology Journal (CAJ) annually.The Caddo Conference Organization holds an annual meeting where papers and posters of Caddo archaeology, history, and culture are presented. All members are welcomed and encouraged to submit a paper or poster.

The membership and conference registration form can be downloaded here. Members can also join or renew their membership or pay the conference registration fee by using Paypal.


Caddo Conference/East Texas Meeting 2025 – Texarkana, Texas

To register for the meeting, please fill out this Google Docs form.

The Combined 2025 Caddo Conference and East Texas Conference meeting will be held at Hilton Garden Inn Texarkana and Texarkana Convention Center from February 20th to February 22nd.

The cost for preregistration is $20, and the deadline for pre-registration is February 19th. Attendees may register in-person at the conference for $25, but will be accepted only as space allows.

The schedule for the conference is as follows:

Thursday, February 20
6:00 pm: Tejas Welcome Reception
This event is open to registered conference attendees, invited guests, and sponsors.
Location: Hilton Garden Inn Texarkana
Attire: Casual
Menu: Light refreshments

Friday, February 21
8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Panel & Speaker Presentations
Speakers will present on a broad range of archeological topics.
Location: Hilton Garden Inn Texarkana
Attire: Casual
Menu: Light Refreshments; Lunch on your own.

6:00 pm: Reception hosted by Texas  A & M – Texarkana
This event is open to registered conference attendees, invited guests, and sponsors.

Texas A & M – Texarkana Campus
Attire: Business Casual
Menu: Light refreshments

Saturday, February 22
8:30 am to 3:00 pm: Panel & Speaker Presentations, Children’s Activities, and Vendors
On Saturday, members of the public are invited to join conference registrants, invited guests and sponsors and participate in the conference activities at no cost.
Speakers will present on a broad range of historical, archeological and cultural topics.
Children’s activities highlighting various aspects of Caddo culture will be available as well as an assortment of vendors featuring Caddo artwork and cultural information.

3:00 pm: Caddo Dance and Song Performance
Members of the Caddo Culture Club will perform traditional tribal dances and music.

Attire: Casual
Menu: Light refreshments; Lunch on your own.

A “Current Research on Caddo Archeology” symposium was held at the Texas Archeological Society meeting in Tyler, October 27, 2012. Eight presentations highlighted the diversity seen across the Caddo Area from the perspective of archeological sites in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas.
